Another 1,651 items were returned to their rightful owners, and an additional 4,410 items that remained unclaimed or were no longer required as evidence were disposed of. Further, evidentiary items from 818 cases were submitted for analysis to Illinois State Crime Laboratories, including 163 cases involving drug evidence, 142 incidents in which DNA was recovered and 141 cases where fingerprints were processed. The Identification and Property Section also processed licenses for cab drivers in the Village, as well as liquor licenses for new Village establishments.
